Technical Service

Delta and Pine Land Company (D&PL) trained agronomists and plant physiologists provide field services, research data, grower meetings, and in-season management assistance for all of our cotton seed and soybean seed customers. D&PL has regionally-located technical services representatives to aid producers with one-on-one consultations about crop management issues. D&PL technical services representatives also conduct regionalized field research on cotton variety performance and management techniques.

Products tested by technical services include soybean and cotton seed varieties coming from D&PL’s own research or partners interested in marketing new seed treatments, transgenic traits and other new biotechnologies. Our personnel test these new cotton and soybean products over a wide range of geographies, involving the public sector and farmers to determine which products will ultimately be introduced commercially.
